One of my hardrives just clicked and now my computer only bo

how do i get it to run win XP with both hardrives plugged in like it did before what ever happened to cause this i really have no idea what just happend was running then i heard a distinct click then froze so i restarted

you'll have to change your boot disk priority in your BIOS. You'll have to enter BIOS, which is different by motherboard but usually either done by holding down esc, del, f10, f12 or f2. Once in there you'll need to find the boot menu, change the priority to put your Windows XP disk on the top (but it won't tell you it's the Windows XP disk), save your changes, and exit.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I doubt you'll be able to do it. It would probably be easier for you if you remove the Windows ME disk, get an external enclosure, put the disk in there, get your files off of it, format the disk, and plug it back in.

what caused my bios to reset .-. are my disk drives [uhm having trouble thinking of a non profanic word to put here] ... as well ?

The most likely explanation for a BIOS reset (assuming you didn't accidentally do it) is that the motherboard battery is dead/dying and needs to be replaced.
