I figured we could use one of these. After all, what's a forum without rampant speculation? It's, uh...well, it's still a forum, but without the rampant speculation....so it's pretty much the same...

Anyway! What do you ladies and gentlemen of this fine internet establishment think we're gonna be seeing (want us to be seeing) in Prey 2? Are the Aliens back? Do all our base still belong to them? Who are the people "elsewhere" who have taken notice of us and want to meet us?

Personally, as long as I can still Spirit Walk in the next one, I'll be happy enough. I thought that was pretty cool. :happy:

Not necessarilysure how it will work,cince at the end of 1, you essentially be come the alien god.

Prey 2's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prey_2 keeps getting vandalized by some kid (or immature advlt) who isn't happy that Prey 2 apparently wont have much in common with the original. I hope to god this forum doesn't become like the Fallout forums, where older fans and newer fans are constantly bickering. I'd hate to play Prey 2, wind up liking it, then have my enjoyment of yet another series be soured by yet another divided fan-base.

I wish it did focus on Tommy, but at the same time the approach they are taking is very interesting. What I don't understand is what species is hostile and who isn't. It's confusing but I suppose that there are many different species on the sphere that cause an uprising and have been fighting for a long time just like the old earth people we met in the first game.

At the end of the trailer it said ID TECH .. So well is it ID TECH 5?? Also if it is OMG I want to see portals with MEGA TEXTURES I don't know what the date for this thing is but please Bethesda make it a 2012 game there is way too much crap coming out this year. You can keep the release date the day the world is supposedly going to end

I'm wondering how they'll expand upon the story of the original. The open ending to the first left so much open, but the direction they're taking with Prey 2 seems so... Strange, especially in regard to how the original was.

It says in the article that it will not resemble the original game. It also says:



So is this going to be an open-world game? The kind that Bethesda are famous for? Interesting.

I saw the first screens from the game,and it instantaneously reminded me of Mass Effect.

There is a screenshot with a bar full with aliens of various races with red lighting that is just like the club "Afterlife" of Mass Effect 2 without the strippers.
There is also a screen with a female alien with blue skin and weird head anatomy instead of hair on their heads that look very similar to Asari from Mass Effect,and in another screen there is an alien with 4 eyes that look like a Batarian.
