Quakecon 2011 Final Words

Another year has come to a close, and if I might say, one of the best we've ever had. I would like to take some time to express from the bottom of my heart, a tremendous amount of gratitude to id Software, Bethesda and Zenimax for hosting. RAGE looks absolutely AMAZING. Skyrim is so astounding, its causing babies to be born the moment they hear a dragon's roar (Yes, that actually happened during the Skyrim presentation).

A round of applause for Todd Hollenshed and id software. Without years of dedication, hard work, and amazing talent, Quakecon would never have taken off to the heights its at now. Quakecon is a world famous event, and its because of id Software that we had the games, which gave us the drive, which brought us the talent, who all put Quakecon together year after year. Thank you id Software. Thank you for years of amazing.

A huge shout out goes to the Exec Staff in charge this year. They did an absolutely fabulous job making this an amazing Quakecon. The internet connection was beautiful. The amount of prizes acquired was just jaw dropping. And the main stage events were awesome!

One of the biggest thank you's in the world goes to out to Ventrilo. Brian Knapp is one amazing dude. Every year these guys donate the most amazing vehicles in the world to us, just because they want to. It's just such an amazing sight to have such amazing people that come to Quakecon.

Master Pancake, of course, as magnificent as always. Year after year, they are the only guys that can make my sides split. Absolutely wonderful show this year!!! "Suuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppppp"

Another very special thank you goes out to every single person who volunteered this year. Quakecon would not exist without those people who spend hours of their vacations guarding doors, running cables, checking bags, registering attendies and doing all sorts of wonderful volunteer tasks. Without the dedication from everyone involved, well, Quakecon wouldn't happen. Our appreciation for volunteers... well... it can't be measured in dollars and cents. Volunteers left this year with more prizes than raffles have ever given out, and there could not be more appreciation to all the vendors who recognized the volunteers importance and donated.

Thank you everyone. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
