Not a musket - one inaccurate shot that may backfire and then you have to reload? I'd take a sword over that any day.

The emphasis was on "a later 'device'"---READ current and modern...but we won't get into that...whatever would be more handy....yeah...an intimidating sword would surely do also.

I did understand that.

You'd want to be somewhat experienced with a firearm though - in close quarters and in real life, it's not exactly like CoD...

We have certain places to practice with the real....nvmd...it's out of the scope of the thread...besides I live close to Detroit...so CoD? Ha!

That's another activity of mine -- I like to go wandering in bad neighbourhoods. I do it to prove a point to my unknowingly elitist and cloistered friends. :confused:

Besides "computer stuff" well PnP RPGs, wargames, boardgames, read (history, politics, detective novels, ocasionally other stuff), little bit of political activism (but not much nowadays), watch old films, go on holiday (wherever I can wander old ruins)

For my hobbies I ski every Sunday and most Saturday's and on weekdays when I can. That's probably my only hobby, but hey I got 2nd place at the dotty Clark (which is the JHS equivalent of a championship) in the expert freestyle event.

Where are you from? I did a ski season last year and I love it. I've left the park alone since I had a nasty concussion, slipping off a rail. I'm big on back country off piste...

I'm only 14 but I'm from Idaho, I don't care to go into to much detail. I do like parks but I like to backcountry ski more.

Just curious about which country you skied in. Seems like you can ski pretty much anywhere in the states, lucky buggers!

Gym, go out for drinks, movies. Not a whole lot to do around here, especially without a car. Hopefully when I get to my duty station I can grab a cheap car and have some more fun.
