I've asked before and got my resulting Avatar but I think it's time for a change. :smile:

As you could obviously tell, I am rather obsessed with the Hunger Games.

Thanks to anyone who can do this for me! :smile:

(Me being not so apt in image-editing-lingo, I'm not sure if you guys will know what I mean by feather. By feather, I mean to remove any background aside from the goldish seal, and make it transparent. Thanks. :biggrin:

Hmm, it's a .png but it's still kind of dirty. And by dirty I mean it's not all one shade of black to cut out. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q235/Lomoru/1-1.png is all I got out of irfanview when trying to make the background transparent.

Gonna have to go into paint and black out the background. Give me a few minutes.

Looks strange but I'm sure if you use it as an avatar it'll turn out fine. Needs the dark background of the forums. Just make sure it stays in .png format for now, because the second it goes to .jpg it's all over. :tongue:

I was able to make the background a solid black, now it just needs to be transparent. It probably needs to be vectored a bit because I chipped off some edges here and there.

I've made the final copy of the avatar.

I resized it so it could be a bigger size than when it is used as an Avatar. Thanks for all the response guys, most of the ones that have been sent in have been too big or not clean enough. I made the background solid black and resized it. All that needs to be done is the feathering

It's not the exact same gradient though, I just put a new similar gradient on top of the transparent black posted by Steampunk.
