Male character's voice glitch?

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 8:35 pm

After a brief time playing this on the PS3 I noticed my male character makes very unusual sounds. I thought at first it sounded like a kid, that maybe because it was on the youngest setting during character creation that it came out like that, but no, even the oldest one sounds like... a woman. Then I started a new game to test the female character and they sound very similar. I had this happen on Fallout 3, where my male had a female voice and movements, but simply restarting the game fixed it. That's not working here, though. I've tried restarting the PS3 and making new male characters, but they still sound like women when swinging a melee weapon, and have the same movement animations for all I know. I read someone else had this problem on another forum, but I have no idea how to fix it. That is assuming these guys didn't intend for the men to sound like women. I hope not, but who knows? If anyone knows what I can do to fix this I'd be grateful. I've only played for about four hours, so it wouldn't kill me to start another character if I had to... but until I find a solution, any new characters will have this problem.

At least the female characters sound about right after they're created. I may just end up playing as a female until I can figure out how to fix the males' problem.
