I have a picture prompting that my save file is corrupted.
I didn't get that far into the game, past the main town but.
Like fallout needs there faction wars, I need cigarettes lol.
I come back from my local store, try to load up fallout and my save is already corrupt.
That don't make me very happy.....
Though i was not far into the game, so i subsequently took a screenshot of it.
And if you can figure out why my game keeps being corrupted, that would be spectacular.

NOTE:
This is only for the auto-save feature, This does not happen if you save the game to an actual save file, instead of a temporary one (Auto-save).

This is already being heavily discussed in the PC Issues subforum. In a nutshell, there seems to be an issue with SteamCloud syncing functionality overwriting save files. Head over there to learn more.

I've never had any problems with my X-Box, so if you're using that, are you trying to save it to the hard drive or a USB / Memory card?

If it's a PS3, I can't really help you. :/ Never had one.

Edit: D'oh. :facepalm: I forgot PC. Which it would seem the OP is on.

And it only seems to do it, when i do a certain thing in the beginning of the game.
Though currently right now my new save i avoided doing the same thing and tried a different path and seems to be working great.

I just wanna find out what a certain somebody was telling me.
Sounded like a big clue to a secret stash, but i don't wanna keep playing hours on-in and have my save file sitting in megaton where it gets blown up.

There is still people trusting the auto-save in Fallout out there?
Get used to do manual save every 5 minutes,you will be able to do it without even notice in no time.
