Very Low FPS

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:47 pm

I will be brief, putting the game at least config i get 10 to 20 fps

I tried all the advice I found on the network and solves nothing

System

Ati HD 4890 (Tried Hotfix 11.5a. Dont work)
Amd Phenom Quad 9950 2,6GHZ
4GB RAM DDR2

I personally do not think it's ati card problem, I read post of people using the ati 6990 and obtained the same result, I smell a poorly optimized game

I'm using a 4870 and the game runs like a champ. I'll give you a hint... downgrade your catalyst drivers.

Well, I'm using a lesser videocard and the 10.12 drivers. The game runs like a champ for me.

Having some minor fps issues my self with 295GTX, anyone else familiar with this? I also get the Open GL error at times, related perhaps?

I know my 295Gtx should be able to ace It as my friend plays It smoothly with 280gts :P

This game seems to have some really bad issues with higher resolutions, I get 200+ fps at 1280x720, 70+fps at 1680x1050 and only 20+fps at 2560x1440. Of course a slight performance hit is to be expected from higher resolutions but a 90% performance hit seems a bit over the top. Must be a bug somewhere

I get max 40 but an avg in the low 20's. Worst part is I have a 5870!!!! I really wish that if the game played like in the trailers it would be awesome. Unfortunately it's just fun as long as it isn't stuttering like mad. Some maps are lightly stuttery but then it'll be like 2-3 where it's terrible. Never smooth like in the trailers though.

25 FPS with min/max settings or resolution, doesn't matter.
6900 HD
8 gb ram
3.0 quad core

still runs like a huge pile of elephant dung

make sure your not confusing latency with framerate. the game's cutscenes run smoothly but the gameplay isn't then thats more likely lag. everything appears to be server side so movement jitters about instead of playing smoothly.

next make sure your running the right version of openGL. whatever version is in the catalyst 10 drivers must be the correct version. if openGL fails to render something in hardware it WILL attempt to render it in software unless specifically told not too and software renderers aren't exactly fast. but that would be closer to single digit framerates

ambient occlusion is a resource vacuum, shadow quality is similar if it's all dynamic shadowmaps. not that i've even seen a shadow. detuning those will help alot more than some of the other stuff. ambient occlusion's performance hit scales with screensize. it's essentially doing a gaussian blur to the screen every frame and thats expensive.

I do not think it very difficult to differentiate the latency (lag) or fps (frames per second)

Here the same thing, no matter who put everything to the fullest, at least, to select all the graphic options, or turn them off, it works just fully crap

Test your hard drive transfer rates. I suspect your hard drives are probably not working all that well.

I do not think the problem is that I would function poorly all games, but if you want i have Seagate (1TB) and has 3 months of life
