I did, even though I had a save before the point of no return on my previous character. I figured it'd be something to look foreword to in inclusion to everything else I haven't seen in the base game yet.

Some people seem to forget the "RPG" part of the game and actually pay attention to reading stuff.
Their own fault for getting locked in though.

I did on purpose. Made it more fresh. I even decked them out with the best armor and weapons my lvl 9 could afford. 15 hours of work to get everything perfect. Made sure I had everything I might need. (for all who have played Dead Money. I know you laughing at me)

You plan on taking on Dead Money at level 9. Yikes.

When I started I was level 28 and I have died many times. Good Luck. :whistling:

Not Plan. Planned. Past tense. I have already completed it. I was crippled and crying for half of it. I emerged with Jacked weaponry the best ending I have ever seen and a new hatred for those who complain about Normal Mode being to hard. (I play purely hardcoe Hard)

I didn't need to make a new character, but about 1 week before it was released I did so anyway. Had around 20-25 hours on him by the time I downloaded it. Level 17. The day before the release, I made a save in Novac in front of my hotel room with just my usual gear. Leather armor, hunting rifle, etc... Was very fun, especially since I play only on hardcoe. Within 20 minutes after speaking with Elijah the first time I had less then half my health, and it stayed that way for the majority of the game. Constantly scavenging for chips, desperate for survival. Even after I found the stimpak code I probably never bought more than 10 of them. I had to spend most on doctor bags.

1. Obsidian made it.
2. Fallout New Vegas is not like Fallout 3 and it was your own fault for expecting so just cause they used the same engine.
3. You couldn't continue in Fallout 3, you could continue in Broken Steel.
4. A big message pops up right before the final quest, which asks if you're sure you want to go through with the quest, because it is the point of no return.

You have no one to blame but yourself for not paying attention to the game.

I didn't. I have saves for all my characters every few levels (created separately from all others). I just fired up the first one I found that was level 20 and I was off! It was kind of a pain finding it amongst the 72 entries... but, I didn't have to start over.

Ah, the beauty of the save :)
