Some suggestions I have for FO:NV

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 3:41 am

I didn't want to post in the one thread they have because...hey I'm just another post in the sea of replies in there.

I heard there was going to be a hardcoe mode which has some very realistic things in it and I really want to be able to pick, you know, normal, hard, hardcoe, and all of that, but it'd be cool if we could customize the difficulty. Like, maybe you want it to be like normal fallout 3 but aiming down the sights, or maybe hardcoe mode without aiming down the sights. This also brings me to something else. Aiming down the sights. PLEASE let us aim down the sights! I'm sure I'm one out of a million who were dissapointed when we couldn't aim down the sights on weapons in FO3. I know they realeased the geck, and mods are very common on FO3 but I'm a console player so my options are extremely limited.

Alot of people are discussing the weapons and want to stay to the 30's-60's roots and not include modern weaponry because they think that wouldn't happen but this is the future, and tons of things could have been made. I think it'd be cool to have WWII era weapons-vietnam era weapons(M1 garand, M1/M2 carbine rifles, m1a1 thompson, m16/xm16e1, m60, m14, all that good stuff); Althought I think WWII weapons should be in plenty and the more modern stuff should be a little more rare.
I hope there are actual calibers/properly named calibers (9 x 19mm, 5.56mm, 7.62, ect) and they should be used by the proper weapons (m16 uses 5.56, ak uses 7.62/5.45 depending upon model)
Oh, I thought the weapon maintainence was awesome in FO3 so that is a keeper, but the accuracy on everything was rediculous. Weapons are not that innacurate pretty much ever! I would point at someone 50 meters or less away and pull the trigger and the bullets would go around them and nowhere near them whether in semi auto or full auto. Please make the accuracy more realistic.

Now onto music. The music was great but there were too little of a quantity of tracks. I think you guys should add way more tracks in the radio(s) in the new one and also if there is one artist playing on that station, PLEASE play some other songs by that artist( Blue moon by Frank sinatra, L.O.V.E by frank sinatra, just examples). Some Frank Sinatra is a must for the radio station(s). I don't know why but he just has a big city type of singing.

Please discuss and tell me what you all think. If you are responding to something specific or multiple things Please write something like this: @weapon accuracy: I know dude I hate that!

1. Aiming down sights is in for some weapons.
2. The reason they want you to post in an existing thread is so we don't end up with a million threads on, "hey, I have a suggestion for New Vegas..."

In FO3 or FO NV? And if you are talking about Sniper rifles or scoped weapons, that doesn't count.

I'm talking about FO:NV, and not just sniper rifles.

From IGN:
Some additions have been made to the flow of combat as well, making New Vegas a much more flexible and fluid looking experience. During real-time combat, new camera options have been added and the mechanics have been tweaked. You can now aim down the sights like most standard first-person shooters, and the game options can be tweaked to add in the cinematic, slow-mo kill cam previously only available through VATS. If you do bring up VATS, you'll find new options for melee targeting including special moves. No matter your battle preferences, prepare for a similar gore fest to Fallout 3. During the demo I watched as the player took an uppercut swing with a 9 Iron golf club to the face of an enemy. His head flew off in a stream of blood.
