[REQ/HELP] I Fought the Law

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:09 am

Okay, this... I tried to fix it myself, but this is apparently going to be beyond me. So a bit of help would be good.

The bug I mean: The damned thing doesn't realize that the NCR WON the correctional facility battle. It says they lost. Mr. New Vegas says they lost. Quest is over, Eddie is dead.

I went into the GECK and found out that I really cannot find a Mr. New Vegas radio announcement stating that they won anywhere. It... doesn't exist? So the only radio announcement is "They failed"?

This is apparently a bit over my head, in this case. Any ideas?

Okay, here is a theory.

Mr. New Vegas is a computer program. :brokencomputer: Run by Mr. House. He doesn't want NCR to get control of New Vegas, so he down plays any NCR successes. :whistling:

What do you think? Or am I just blowing smoke? :banghead:

This is only the radio announcement, right? The quest itself went off without a hitch?

Even the endgame thinks they lost. Seriously. Nothing twigs right, even though the quest finished fine as a success.

Correct. Almost all PC players have this problem. Quest finished but radio/or endgame does not see as NCR success. Can somebody create a fix for this please...

The quest never finishes. Note how the alarm stays on and it locks Meyers in a cycling "mid-quest" speech. It has no parameters to actually end the quest.

Right, when I say "The quest finished as a success", though, I meant the actual quest line in the journal. The journal thinks it finished fine. Nothing else seems to.

I haven't done the quest yet, but does this fix the problem?

Nope, not a bit. Only fixes an entirely different quest in relation to this one.

I don't suppose this one helps with the bug you pointed out either, eh? This has to be the buggiest questline..,.

Yes, it is the buggiest questline.

But no, that doesn't help. That's a workaround so you can get the quest if the Powder Gangers hate you.
