DK_BulletTime for New Vegas

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:35 pm

I have re-done DK_BulletTime, the original slow motion VATS alternative for Fallout 3, and Its now working on Fallout New Vegas.

So far, no FOSE support, but hopefully that will come with time.

Enjoy

Hooray!

...hopefully this, combined with a few other things, will help pass the time while I continue to wait on NVSE...

Which reminds me... since I prefer DKBullettime to Turbo, what I'd love to see at some point (after NVSE is out) is a version of DK_Bullettime that changes Turbo such that when you use it, it puts you into the same Bullettime without any AP loss - until it wears off, at which point you stay in BT, but at an AP cost (and if you use another shot of Turbo while still in BT, it simply suspects expenditure of AP again for a short while) --- making Turbo just a way of "extending" bursts of BT.

As it is, Turbo is nifty and all - but for those of us who prefer BT as a replacement for VATS (rather than an additional option), I think something like the above approach would keep Turbo interesting/useful.

DarkUncle,

I have only just come across Turbo, so I am working out how BulleTime and Turbo might work together. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. My investigation is just getting started.

I have released a new version with the option to use a mod which uses the Turbo effect. This is really just an experiment, as it seem quite overpowered. The original Bullet Time was to give people an alternative to VATS, and this is clearly a hug adavantage over VATS.

Nevertheless, I thought this would be an interesting thing to look at. If youre interested, DK_BulletTime is now version 1.1.1 at http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35823#fileanchor

Yay, DK bullet time! A staple mod along side of FWE and MMM. In Fallout 3 I completely stopped using VATS thanks to your mod. In the New Vegas I felt so crippled by the fact that I had to use VATS, With Rex and Verconica meleeing the baddies the thought "if only I had a second to line up my shot without my allies jumping into the frame" crossed my mind so many times. Anyway, I am really happy you released it.
