I was wondering if anyone else thinks it odd that factions money seems fairly useless, even at the respective factions stores. I have not done extensive testing, but I have yet to see any real use for the cash. Other then then turning it into casino chips.

My thought, even if the currency is not trading at full value, it should trade for more then it is. Perhaps 80% of face value at that factions store. It'd give you an actual reason to hold onto that factions money rather then convert it at a casino, or use it at a misc wasteland store. What are your thoughts?

edit: This would also open the door to quest mods, raiding legion/ncr vaults or cash convoy? Try spending the stolen cash at the shop for full 80% value, or turn in to the opposing faction for 60% return in the other factions currency.

I like it, but perhaps exchange rates that change at random throughout the game, so you can swap your money at different times based on what the current exchange rate is etc...

It'd be fairly hard to do unless you just kinda threw numbers out at random. NCR is a water backed currency, not sure where you'd find a reliable way to accurately gauge the change beyond blind numbers. Wouldn't be too bad if you linked it to faction strength, possibly their numbers still in existence. Say you wipe out the legion camp, their currency is devalued a certain percentage while NCR's gains?
