Fallout New Vegas is Bethesda's current game and my latest game.
They should have all the DLCs done before Skyrim's Release Im not worried and plus its still a long time till November so relax and enjoy the nice weather we're about to get ( For those who are in the Northern Hemisphere)

Fallout New Vegas is Bethesda's current game and my latest game. Not entirely accurate. Obsidian developed it, while Bethesda was the publisher
enjoy the nice weather we're about to get ( For those who are in the Northern Hemisphere) HAH!!! I haven't seen the sun in over a week now, and now the rivers are getting pretty swollen, and there will likely be some flooding. But at least Baseball season is here...at least spring traing is.

They do seem to be taking their time to announce it. I'm wondering if the supposed new patch that's "coming soon" is still being worked on. The more you add to this game after the fact the more bugs you get (pre-order DLC issues and Dead Money issues).

No idea why it's taking so long but I hope that Honest Hearts is like 1200 to 1600 MSP instead of regular 800 MSP.

Why would you want that?

There were pre-order DLC issues? I didn't have any issues. Guess I got lucky. I'm sure that all the DLC will be out b4 skyrim. They wouldn't want their own products to be coming out. It's bad enough that skyrim will have to compete with Gear 3, ME3, Rage, and Alice: madness returns. With all those awesome games coming out (all of which I want, though I'll only be able to afford one), if they're still releasing DLc, it wont sell. If they really do end up doing 7, that leaves one a month to be released between April and September. I'm hoping for a late march early april release, but judging by the lack of info, it seems it will be a mid-to late april release.

Why wouldn't you? The closer to a full-on expansion, the better. Gabe's not suggesting that we pay that much for the size of DLC we have been having with Dead Money and Fallout 3, but that it is twice the content of what we've been experiencing. I hope this is the case. A large map with substantial area of beautiful Zion National Park to visit? Hell yes. It's pretty likely, there has been a lot of time for this DLC announcement, and New Vegas is supposed to have 4 DLCs, one less that Fallout 3. A 20 dollar DLC could be making up for having less.

yeah i hate Microprobe to even though i am a 360 user i hate paying 25 bucks just so i can play online. and if it makes you feel any better i bought Dead Zombie the same time PC and PS3 users were able to

I also hate MS. The 360 is the only thing I like about them. If I had the money for one, I'd be using a Mac and not a PC.

I agree with your first point, I would love to have a large expansion to New Vegas than just a small dlc. However, there are only 4 dlc confirmed at this moment, but there are rumors that there might be up to 7 dlc released over time, according to the Vault: "According to one video game news blog[9], a source "close to Bethesda Softworks" spoke to journalists on condition of anonymity, saying that four DLC's other than Dead Money were in development as of December 2010, with two others being considered, which if approved would make for a total of seven add-ons for release over the next two years. Of the four DLC's planned for release after Dead Money, the source was said to have stated that the Courier has a "relationship" with Ulysses and that the nature of the relationship would surprise players. He also said that a future DLC would add an area to the game that players "likely thought they would never see", as well as "a personality [from] Fallout 3".

if the DLC is more then 800 points, it better be at or atleast near the par-level of Shivering Isles.

Personally I have enough patience to wait for Obsidian to finish the DLC's to their satisfaction which will hopefully be if not bug/glitch free only have minimal bugs/glitches. I think part of the problem is that patience is an all but forgotten virtue these days with all too many people wanting something and wanting it yesterday.

Patience is not a problem with me, however with a game that is sorely lacking in several areas which I will not repeat again, along with the previously mentioned greed of Microshaft, has svcked out what joy for the game was left.

To be fair, Obsidian did a fine job with the quests, writing, and faction system. I also enjoyed the weapon mods as well as the crafting. It wasn't all bad with New Vegas, but I've just had enough, and the deal with Microshaft was the last straw.

Here's what I think/predict: the next DLC WILL be out by the end of next month, MAYBE end of may at the absolute latest. One will be released every month till Skyrim (assuming all 7 are made). They will NOT be bug free, but will be just as good as all the past FO DLC (personally i liked them all, even zeta), maybe a little better. At least one will be about the size of point lookout (maybe the next one), maybe bigger.

As for this "area players thought they would never see", I have a feeling what ever it is will piss off all lots of fans (esp. those of the original games) because they will probably think it "doesn't fit in the universe" or some crap like that. If i had to guess where it will be, i'd say either China, or somewhere from FO1 or 2. If it's china, either the courier will take the plan from the boomers to get there, or you will play as a new character.

I believe that source to be an utter piece of crap that is perpetuating a rumor. For one, they say "A source reliable to Bethesda" which shatters their credibility from the start. Anybody can say this. Also, later in this statement (on the actual blog) it states that there are 8 DLCs, and it only says 7 on the wiki because whoever edited that into The Vault actually counted correctly. The blog also says that Ulysses is the Courier's lover, which either shows that this entire blog made up the source, or that they did get the source from somewhere and took the "nature of the relationship will surprise players" comment as "Ulysses is the Courier's lover". All signs point to this being false.

why would you want it to cost more? is it becuase you figure if it cost more it will have more to it and be better? hmmm..... id disaggree if thats your logic cuase FLNV costed 60 bucks and it wasnt worth it when you count all the bugs. hell except for the extra five levels i didnt think dead money was worth 800.

For me, spending around 9 hours digesting it as much as I could on one playthrough, it was well worth 10 dollars. For pure dollar per hour, it exceeds that of most games playtime.

Also, I disagree with your logic. New Vegas was worth it to many people, and it's subjective. Not everybody got gamebreaking bugs, and many of us who experience bugs regularly ignore them because of how great of a game New Vegas is to us. And yes, there would absolutely be more to a DLC costing more than 10 dollars, because having content equivalent to Dead Money and charging twice for it is not good for business.

They always release a patch before releasing DLC, its just that usually it only changes a few things for the DLC. The next one might contain fixes, but we can't say for sure now.

DLC's has certain price ranges and if a DLC is too big then it might have to take a 1200 or 1600 MSP price instead.
My point is that I hope it costs more because then it will be bigger which means: more quests, bigger area, more items, more enemies, et cetera.
Yeah I'd rather have a 1600 MSP DLC than a small or avarage sized 800 MSP DLC.
