Answer to the corrupt save issues

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:59 pm

I've read a lot of complaints about this in the thread...and folks wanting a response here in the forums on the status on when it’s going to be fixed. However the forum is not designed for reporting an issue formally. This is a community site where players can share their thoughts on games, and see what others are experiencing. Several people (including myself) have escalated the issue to support and gotten responses that the issue is fairly isolated and only a few people are seeing it. That the game is overall fairly all stable for such a complex game and the issues only effect a handful of the 4 million users that have purchased it. The message is clear based on this response from the support folks, we are NOT doing our part!

Not every user experiences these issue, they ARE intermittent (well not once you encounter it) and we presume in good faith none of the QA testers ran into it either. In fairness to Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian probably feel this is not as nearly prevalent as a issue as some of the people here are on the board perceive it is. Why? we are not doing our jobs in the process.

If it’s truly as prevalent as some of the complaining here suggests, their tickets would reflect this. I suspect the reason for this, are a lot of us are coming here and venting our frustrations, while never creating a incident so that they can see is ( I believe) tangibly is impacting a majority of the consumers who have purchased their product. If they don't get a sense of the impact it has in measurable terms , volume of reports against their incident system of record system, can we really blame them for the lack of response??!. We need to do our part!!!! Submit a ticket http://www.gamesas.com/eng/contact.html so they have visibility to exactly how many people it really effecting. Report the issue via their reporting tools, so that they KNOW there is actually a relevant issue!!!! Instead of a handful of people whining on the forums….

Let’s do our part in helping making this game what it should be!

To be clear, lets not overreact and bog the situation down. Lets not flood them with minor bugs, but report ones that truly break the game, such as the issue here where all future save game files being corrupted by missions or certain set conditions and the game being uncompletable!

I've done my part! Chime in, have you?

I completely agree and have done this.
It is especially important for those of us with freezing/crashing issues to submit a ticket.

Good topic.

No offense but I think you should rename this topic.
I think it is a very important idea that many of us might not think about.

Wow!
I can't believe how this topic has slipped down the front page!

For pity sake, THIS IS IMPORTANT!

If you have serious issues, then tell Beth!

This topic should be permanently at the top. Thanks Agent Ender for the info. I wish I knew this back when I had Fallout 3 GOTY, New Vegas will come next week and I will for sure give info of every major issue I face with.

I agree.
I add my thanks to Ender for creating this thread. It's such a common sense thing that I think escapes a lot of us, even those of us who have already submitted tickets.

:: whistle, whistle, whistle ::

This really is the most constructive way to let Beth and Obsidian know what, if any, problems you may or may not be experiencing with F:NV.
The more people who can submit tickets in a clear and detailed manner, the better!

The company needs honest feedback ... do your part and provide it.
I have.

Peace!
