XP distribution

As someone pointed out, in the PAX bomb Defusal walkthrough, the amount of XP your getting.

When you give someone ammo as a soldier, you get 25 XP. I think you should get a bit more than that 75-100

Medic, you get 150 xp for buffing someone, but you get 100xp for reviving someone? I think you should get 200. Reviving someone is keeping them alive when their down, and when they are down, all the buffs in the world won't help.

Engineer. He got 100 xp for switching to that class because that was the class the would help the main objective. Now, he got 150 xp for buffing someone else's gun, THAN he gets 150 xp for buffing his own gun? I thought SD wouldn't give any XP for buffing your gun? They need to fix that so you get no XP for it.

Also, I think that you should get around 500 xp for accomplishing a main objective.

That's just my thoughts, what are yours?

I hope they go back to low amounts of xp for stuff. Like: 10 xp for reviving, 5 xp for buffs/heals/ammo, 25 xp for completing main objectives etc. I hate high amounts of xp.

The amount of XP you get per action depends on the amount of XP it requires to achieve something. It shouldn't go too fast, because no-lifers will spam the forums requesting more content within a week, otherwise. But it shouldn't take forever either, as casuals would have to spend ages to get to 75% (I assume that casuals don't aim for the 100% straight).

That might make it unnoticed though. Like it won't actually make a difference. Like, in MW2, you get 50 xp for a kill, but 150 for capturing a flag in domination. I think it should be somewhat high to make a difference encouraging team play.

No, that would depend on the condition you were in. Guarding an objective, sticking with the team, trying to accomplish a mission involving being away from your team would give you bonus multipliers.

Anyway, I know it's not how they developped it up until now and I don't see a valid reason why they would change it. I just hate big xp numbers. When you get 200.000 xp in Brink, you didn't accomplish anything. If you were able to get 200.000 xp in Wolf ET, you were awesome (or you just had too much time xD)

It has to be bigger numbers, otherwise they'd have to use decimals for certain actions. Soldiers get different XP based on how much ammo they give to someone, for example. With the way it is now it could be 61, or 48, or whatever. With lowered numbers it would be 6.1 and 4.8, which is the same thing but doesn't look as pretty. Also, higher numbers subconsiously make people feel like they're getting more of a reward. It's kinda like how in commercials they'll say things like "For 3 easy payments of 29.99" to take your mind off the fact that the blender actually costs almost a hundred dollars. It's kinda like that, only in reverse. They want you to feel like you're gaining a lot.

Yes, I know that, and it's exactly what I dislike so much. On the other hand you could also say that having '100.000.000 xp' is also uneasy to count.

I think it relates to how much ammo they need (IE: how much they have left.) And I'm pretty sure that i saw Jolly get 60ish for ammo handouts http://www.gametrailers.com/video/pax-10-brink/705430 at around 50 seconds
