What class and body type will match the best together.

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:02 pm

Im not sure if there was a post like this before(prob is) but anyways we all the know the classes engineer, soldier, medic, operative and the body types light, medium and heavy. Now most people will assume that the best body type for soldier is heavy and medium and light will be a terrible body type for him. or operative cant be a heavy because he needs to be sneaky. Face the fact you will never think of a heavy operative right. Now what if i told you that the heavy operative could be best for disguise. You would think im crazy right. Well it could accualy work really well, since no one will think of a heavy operative and he disguises as a heavy he will be really slow so no one would possibly think that guy is a operative(and i know any body type can disguise as a body type smaller or larger but can still do there own body type moves) but so when the enemy walks away there gonna get a nice knife for a souviener. Im still gonna stick with a light operative cause it still is better im just saying certain body types could have its own advantages. Like a light soldier would be able to find a nice high spot and make it rain grenades or a heavy engineer would be able to run into a huge gun fight build a sentry and defend it then you will be able to turn that gun fight into a territory for your own team. So thats a really long story and what i want everyone to do is tell everyone what body type and class they will use and how it will be a good advantage.

I don't think any body type + class will be worse or better it all depends on your play style. even though a heavy medic doesn't sound useful he can take a lot more damage before he goes down. Heavy engies won't be worthless either since they have a lot more firepower so they can defend their turrets better so all classes and body types should be balanced.

any combination can be pulled off, but the most common things would still be:
soldier: heavy medium
medic: medium
engineer: medium light
operative: light

Heavy engineer all the way, carry your turret to their side, slap it down and cover it. Let the frags rack up while you're spamming grenades

What about trying to complete your objective and actually helping teammates by buffing their damage etc?

What you lose in mobility, you gain in ability to survive exposed encounters.

Pretty sure being a massive distraction and doing major damage to the enemy team IS an objective. I'm pretty sure the front lines would be AT the objective, anyway. Want to know what's useless? Snipers in BC2 who try aiming for a +458 Marksman Bonus. Be glad that there are no real useful snipers in the game.

Cod!? HAH! I get my strategies from games so old you were in the womb while I was playing them, boy. Don't insult me with COD. Unreal Tournament 99 and Team Fortress Classic to name a few.

sure sure, camping around a turret, i'll jsut say that, once the frontline moves on, i picture you still sitting there behind your turret, wondering why no-one is coming anymore.

and you should read more posts, i've posted that UT99 is and remains the best unreal tournament(after having played it when it came out, and several times since), so, how could i have still been in my mother's womb when you played it?

Heavy Engineer. What's better than defending a turret with a buffed minigun?

That's like me asking you how could you say I'm a COD fan boy when you know I've played UT99 and how could you say I'd be a stupid camper when UT99 had objectives that moved around also?

He's saying that if you knew that he played and loved UT99 then how could you think he'd be just another COD-fish?

Anyway, play nice guys, please.

I think the best way to use turrets is like they did in the newest container city preview. Put them at a spot where there is high traffic to dictract the enemy team while doing the objective. The frontlines are not always focused around objectives. If there some kind of choke point easy to defend, than the front line will be there, not near the objective. Besides, even if you push true, a good counterpush can push the frontlines back in the other direction.

My mom is a COD-boy strategy. OK cool.

On Topic: Well, I believe each class-body type combo will have it's own advantages.

Solider: Heavy: When shielding people, you can take more damage. When planting a bomb, you have less chances of dying.
Light: Can get to places faster to refill your teammates' ammo. Can get to higher places to throw grenades from.
Medium: Can run at average speed (fast compared to other shooters and Heavy) and has average health. Can climb some places that Heavy can't. Jack of all trades.

Engineer: Heavy: Can, of course, take more damage while repairing stuff, placing turrets and doing his objectives.
Light: Can get to higher places to place his turrets and run faster to teammates that need buffing and stuff that needs repairing.
Medium: Average health and speed. Same as above.

Medic: Heavy: Gets low-damaging supportive weapons that can scare enemies (LMG, minigun). Has more health so he can protect his teammates while healing/reviving.
Light: Can get to homies that need healing/reviving faster.
Medium: Could excel in small maps, since he can take some damage while healing/reviving and can run away fast enough.

Op: Heavy: When disguised as Medium or Heavy, people won't see that he's running unusually fast, as opposed to a light Op. Can take more damage while hacking objectives.
Light: I believe it's self-explainable.
Medium: Gets benefits from both Heavy and Light, and none of their disadvantages.

it occurred to me that it would me a.. uncommon choice.
not very usefull for planting a bomb on the container city gate though, on the other hand, if the team he's in is good enough to keep the enemy away for long enough...
they all have their upsides and downsides, some will be just more commonly seen than others

Light soldiers are good classes to rush to objectives. Let's say you captured a new spawnpoint. The enemy spawns at a new location and you have to blow up a gate. If you rush, you may be able to plant the bomb before they even set up defenses.
