problem with dead money

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 6:32 pm

i bought the DLC @ steam, my steam acct shows that i bought it.
but when i start the game there is no update message, no new quest is add, & under download content, only the classic pack shows up.
i checked fomm, and there is no .esm also.
what is going on, and what can i do to get it installed? (under my account/fallout new vegas, it says it is DLed automaticly)?

I am also having this issue. Purchased Dead Money. No download. Steam says I own it. No popup ingame stating I have it, and it doesnt appear in the data files.

goto library
right click on fallout new vegas and select properties
select "local files"
now, select "verify integrity of game cache"

when i did this, i found my DL went from 15 mb to 250.5 mb
i am not sure if this is the correct size, i still have to start the game and check.

i did the validation times and it said 1 file needed to DLed and the DL went from 250.5 to 251.1 MB
then i did the validation twice more and it said 1 file needed to be DLed and nothing happened.
is there suppose to be a new .esm and shouldn't it show in content available in the game menus?

I checked my fallout new vegas data file and only found dead money sound.bsa!

What do i do?

I too have encountered this problem, but i think that the dlc is released around 12:00 or 10:00.
I am not sure about this but it is a suggestion. it has only been out for 2 hours and 50 mins

I checked my fallout new vegas data file and only found dead money sound.bsa!

I've got the same issue. It has only downloaded DeadMoney - Sounds.bsa. I renamed the file and tried rechecking the integrity of the files but the only file it downloads (in addition to one <1kb file) is that one. The DLC shows up in the F:NV's DLC list as it should.

Edit: Hmm...Restarted Steam and it started downloading the rest of the files. Maybe it's something as simple as that.
Edit #2: Well, it's working now so the problem's solved for me.
