Can't Complete Thieves' Guild

Post » Sat May 26, 2012 10:09 pm

I sold the thieves' guild armor before I could exchange it from Tonilia. Now I can't finish the thieves' guild quests because of it. Is there a way to get a set or at least one part of it again? Playing on PS3, otherwise I would have used the console.

It's impossible without using the console to give yourself a piece. I made the same mistake, but thankfully I play on a pc and fixed it via console.

that, my friends, should be fixed in a patch. either make it so it is weightless and is quest item, or even better, if you have sold it off, owe her the price of it.

"let me have your old armor"

"sold it"

"what? give me 1000 gold."

"ok"

"idiiot! now here is your cool new armor."

Why would you sell it in the first place?

impossible unless they patch/fix this in the future (dont count on it)

this is the problem with having an open world game where u can do anything. sometimes, u make mistakes.

Some of the pieces make for some good, quick money.

I don't sell all of it though. I usually combo the Chestpiece with dark brotherhood equipment (30x dagger hits are lovely, as are the muffled boots).

I do think they should allow us to craft extra sets, or at least buy extra sets.

Not everyone who does the quest line is a thief character. I do it on my melee fighter, and on a pure mage build. And for them, the armor is junk.

well if ur on a pure mage, u shouldnt be doing the thieves guild.

if ur on ur thief and u sold ur thieves guild armor, then i dont know what to tell u except... u made a mistake.

Why exactly do you need the Thief armour to complete the quest? I already sold mine, but wont go to the Sepulcher (love the SK)

That's a very stupid thing to say.

depends on how much u RP i guess. a PURE mage would have nothing to do with the thieves guild. ur not going to see a mage sneaking about assassinating and stealing. thats silly.

a hybrid thief/mage would, but he specifically said PURE mage. i assumed only a person who role plays as mentioned above would use such a term.

Uh, I'm the one who said pure mage. And I am the one calling his comment stupid. Pure mages wear robes, not armor. They kill people with spells, not weapons. Anything else is irrelevant to being called a pure mage.

I shouldn't be trying to talk sense into someone who keeps using "u" and "ur" consistently...

But as always, it depends on the character concept. If I play a morally gray mage who needs funding, why not be a part of the thieves guild? Or my corrupt guardsmen, who mostly wields heavy armor and sword/shield?

There's justification everywhere.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. This is an Elder Scrolls game, you can do whatever you want however you want. -.-
