Many accounts of problems have been encountered with this quest and keeps people from continuing through the Companions Guild quest line and I have encountered a "glitch" that prevents me from finishing the quest. This quest is given to you by Farkas and you have to intimidate someone which is entirely random, could be a select few of people the game will choose or it could be anyone I don't know but it is broken in the aspect that it can even choose a dead person which in my case was Sven whom was killed by a dragon. Others are given people they can't intimidate such as one person has to intimidate someone in jail (Molgrom), others get someone who is a sailor on a ship which your not alowed to be in because it's trespassing and the option doesn't pop up when in conversation (Dorian). This quest is majorly broken and glitchy as can be and needs fixed, if on PC you can avoid most of these problems but for those on consoles like me you can't and get screwed almost instantly. People help get this quest patched, it really is broken and ruins part of the game for me and I'm too far ahead in the game to restart.

Sorry, I and many others need this quest fixed because we are unable to play the quests for the Companions guild, spamming is the easiest and most affective way to get this thread noticed.

Happening to me too. Keeping this thread in the view of bethesda is not spamming until they've acknowledged the issue.
