Reverted uGridsToLoad back to default, now load screen disco

I experimented with uGridToLoad=7, really liked it but the game became unstable enough that I ended up reverting back to default. I followed through with the tweaker guides and I'm playing my savegame fine now except all my load screens show discolored, slightly pinkish, 3D objects. See attached picture for one example.

I've already checked the cache integrity through Steam and this is the only visible artifact/problem. Perhaps I should just count my blessing but if anyone else has or had this problem and found a way to fix it, could you reply to this thread?

lemme guess...you entered "saveini" after you changed it back? Calls up all sorts of unnecessary and legacy stuff in the skyrim.ini while fixing your ugrids.

Note changes in that ini you wish to keep...then move it elsewhere (as a backup, just in case), therefore as far as skyrim is concerned, deleting it. I'd copy the skyrimprefs.ini to another locale, and delete it to. Launch game, it will create new ones for each. This should fix it.

If you have pet tweaks in the original files, you'll have to re-edit the new inis.

Since 1.3 patch, the game creates an .ini file in the skyrim/data folder once the "saveini" console command is used. It may or may not be called skyrim.ini (depending if you got mods, it will name itself weird. You can recognize it easily though, open it up and you'll see the .ini settings in it. You can delete this file. Do not delete the skyrimprefs.ini in the skyrim/skyrim folder though...

That is another issue...

You typed "SAVEINI" in the console, and dumped the old falloutINI into your skyrim/data folder. (Located in steamapps)

Delete the INI that it created. That is NOT the SKYRIM INI you saved. That is an old FALLOUT INI. Nothing in there is compatable with the game. That INI will break your game 100%.

Had this problem

Save a game at ugridstoload 5

Delete game keeping saves

Reinstall and setup

Use fixed saves

I found out changing the game to ugrids 7 caused too much slow down in certain areas and it would drop below 60 fps
This is playing on a 4.6ghz i7, 2x 480gtx in sli, 8gb ram and ssd on a 3dtv in 3d. At ugrids 5 everything can run at ultra with a lot of texture mods and frNkfully looks stunning in 3d.

POST #6 UPDATE:

Samartian, you hit the nail on the head! Thanks The Nanny, I tried your suggestion first and got some recreated ini files in the game save files but the pink hue didn't go away. I then deleted the skyrim.ini file under the DATA file and that worked!

ORIGINAL POST #6
Wow. Thanks for all the replies. You people somehow have psychic powers.

I do have Fallout on my PC and I attempted this uGrid thing after the 1.3 patch.

I will definitely try all this and get back to you all.
