Dragon Problems - Patch 1.3

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 4:56 pm

Well I am still finding Dragons that are not giving up their soul with the latest patch.

The latest one was a Frost Dragon that I killed for a quest and once it was dead it just laid there and not dissolving.

I've had it once in 1.3, but only once.

I'm not sure if it's a pure bug that can pop up any time, or one that only occurs after a long gaming session (when the game is more likely to crash anyway). I guess we'll see if the LAA update makes any difference to stability.

That's how some dragons are in game and its how they are suppose to act, it was a scouting dragon, not all dragons attack.

As for the no soul issue iv seen it reported since 1.0 so it has nothing to do with 1.3

i found a repeatable bug which i'm still uploading the video of to youtube...

Essentially heres how it works.

Go to a word wall that has a dragon... or any place that has a spawning dragon..

trigger it to chase.. and then hide on it.. or let it leave and rest elsewhere.

It seems that if you happen to be in the spawn area... it'll get stuck/respawn back at the location it should be.. and more often than not... if you try and kill it .. either it'll die and not give you a soul.. or it'll be immortal and never die...

I've done this in about 6 different locations.... and it just seems if you don't directly take on those dragons.. they usually fly away which cause the game to freak out when it tries to respawn it...

It's most likely a balancing feature that dragons that respawn at fixed locations only give 1 soul.

Them becoming immortal IS a bug, of course.
