Companions Quest Broken - Trouble in Skyrim doesn't end

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 12:59 am

Just reporting that the Trouble in Skyrim companions quest seems to bug, preventing completion.
Spoiler
I killed the master vampire and the Draugr Scourge in Falkreath completing the quest objective, but when I go back to pass it in, Falkas doesn't have a completion option, and everyone in Jorrvaskr tells me that I'm already on a job for Falkas

I used setstage cr05 200 to get past it (it didn't give me the reward, but at least the other companions are offering quests again)

Same issue here. What I noticed: (I was sent to Redoran's Retreat to kill the bandit leader) once I exit the retreat I checked my journal. The Trouble In Skyrim quest appears in the "to be completed" portion of the window pane with an arrow next to it and an empty (not filled with white) diamond to speak with Farkas. As soon as the player character enters a new zone (in this case the Whiterun stables) the quest log changes to Trouble In Skyrim in the "completed" window pane (grayed out), but the diamond in front of Tallk to Farkas is still empty and the quest will not complete properly. I fast traveled directly to Whiterun as well to see if it would make a difference, but this ended in the same result.
