Since changing from "showracemenu" causes all your stats to reset to base, what I did was first use "player.SetRace" and THEN used showracemenu just to change appearance.

Now almost everything works fine: stats stay where they should be (just have to re-equip gear) & Powers switch over properly.
The Only problem is that I do not get the passive Effect for 25% magic resistance. I lose my Dark Elf effect for fire resistance but the new one does not appear.

I've been looking all over and can't seem to find a command to force this effect.
Anyone know it? Or is there a simpler way to force a race change?

If you know the name of the racial power you want to add you can use the help command to find the ID. Then use player.addspell.

I just said that I already have the power.

It's the EFFECT that I need.
