Hey! I live in Slovakia.
I love Skyrim, but I was wondering why can I not buy it on Steam in my region. I play it a lot at my friends house who has bought it while he was in UK last month, but I cannot buy the game on steam, because the store does not even feature it and when I google it and click the link it says that the item is not aviable in my region. So what should I do. I live in a tiny town and the closest city with an actual game shop is 100 km away lol. What a fail...
So yeah I was just wondering why isnt skyrim or rage on steam in my country.

Skyrim is locked in eastern europe. Lathwia, Poland, Czech, Hungary, Slovakia and probably more. Because some nice publisher got exclusive ability to distribute retail version here.
you have to get retail version. There is pretty high probability it needs to be activated on steam and it SHOULD work (many asked steam support about that, me included, but you know how the steam support works... no confirmation, no valid or relevant info provided).
Don't trade it. You will get different region version and you get stucked when you eventually try to get DLC for it.
