[WIP] The .batPack --Console Command Sets--

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 9:07 am

Note that this is not a Mod.

I have put together a collection of .txt files for use with Skyrim's bat command. this command allows you to create a text file with a list of commands, and execute them all at once! (very helpful when trying to use a lot of them, as you won't have to minimise Skyrim constantly) i did this in preparation for modding, so i can learn how the console commands work until i get Skyrim on PC.

i know how to use console commands, but i need testers, so comment if anything doesn't work the way it should. my goal is to create a useful archive of these text files that add useful and fun scripts. some of these are designed for role-playing, mod testing, or just for being silly, you can use them however you want, really.

if you want to see something added or improved, just comment or PM me, and i'll give it a shot. i need ideas and feedback, positive or negative.

i know a lot of this can be accomnplished with mods, but this is more compatible, and easy to use

This is a neat idea. It will be better once we can execute bat files from scripts in the game. Good luck with this it sounds like an interesting project.

I've made a few .bat's that add skill exp, to level my chosen skills say ten times. So some skill .bat's would be interesting, similar to different class builds (and then appropriate levelled armour/weapons for the skill choices). This is because I'm constantly rerolling new characters, and am too damn lazy to level from scratch. What would be nice (in my opinion) is adding some appropriately levelled spellbooks into a mage build, (which I see you did, but I was thinking of a slightly higher level, so it'd want an apprentice level Destruction at least). However, I still have to wait to find a Shout, it's not that great a starting pack. How about a .bat that adds some basic shouts? (I don't know how that would conflict with getting them later... does it?) I'd think Fus, for those that have had enough of replaying Bleak Falls Barrow, Yol, maybe Iiz or Feim? They're useful. I'd suggest leaving them locked though.

...also, I'm red-green colourblind, (which is not very rare!) and that shade of green is pretty much indistinguishable from the yellow. it's a really minor point, but a darker shade would make it easier to read.

i'll take a look at these suggestions, thanks!
