[REQ] Are there any non-skimpy female armour mods?

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 4:18 pm

Hello,

I'm just wondering if anyone has come across any good unisix/female armour mods out there that aren't skimpifying or 'sixy' armour sets?
I've been looking on the nexus, but there's hundreds upon hundreds of the above to trawl through and takes forever so I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations as I'm looking for a bit of variety from the vanilla sets, buuuuuut on the same note I'm not really interested in any armour where my character looks like she's in more danger of having her [censored] fall out than blocking a sword blow. It's just not really my aesthetic., I don't really care that it's out there.
I'd prefer mods that fit the vanilla models, I haven't found a body replacer yet that isn't about scrubbing up and trying to sixify the female models so I haven't bothered installing one.
If anyone's spotted anything, I'd be grateful for a recommendation

My female character looked pretty good in the "Savior's Hide" armor she got from completing a quest. I didn't like the enchantment on it, though.

I used the Creation Kit to make an unenchanted armor with that look. She can create it at a forge and improve it at a workbench, just like regilar armor. I like the look because any worn necklace is visible while wearinh the armor. The only negative was that I wasn't able to find a 'world view' .nif file, so the picture that comes up on the forge menu is a vanilla cuirass, although it does carry my new name. Once equipped, the new armor looks great.

That sounds like a good option. I went the other way with the quest so didn't get the Savior's Hide. I might have a tinker with the creation kit but I really have no idea how to use it yet.

Still in development, a majority have male and female variants.

I feel your pain. I went trawling through armor mods a while back in search of one that didn't make me immediately think of frostbite in uncomfortable places and didn't find too many...I found a couple that I'm using in my game now that I really like, though. They both work with the original bodies, since I'm currently just using pluginless replacers for those.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6684 - this has a good mix of light and heavy armors, while Grace Darkling's is light armor only. I'm actually using the armor from this pack for my (male) follower; my character's much too fond of the ranger armor to use anything else right now.

My female character looked pretty good in the "Savior's Hide" armor she got from completing a quest. I didn't like the enchantment on it, though.

I like the Savior's Hide, but the original version has a...erm, shall we say, http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/505764952580501067/A0CF9BF804459A8ED5E967E1DBCDA9B64489788B/ with surprise side-butt. Not to mention that if you wore the original anywhere north of Whiterun you'd be in danger of freezing some bits off. I use http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1620 that I quite like...it still sticks close to the original, but is just a little more on the modest side.

Ooo...I hadn't seen this one before. (Must have come out after I did my trawling for armor/clothing mods.) Very nice indeed! That one's definitely on my list for my next game; thanks for the link.

Funny thing is that the males often wear even less and, generally speaking, males are much more vulnerable to cold than females (barring Nord 50% resistance, of course). :P Not the guards, though... guards seem to be very self-conscious or something. :D

Then again, we still see Bethesda avoiding female guards for some reason. Plenty of female fighters, mages, bandits... but no guards.

Many people are doing ports of other armor, but you'll probably see various different original works in the coming months.

I actually think this armor isnt that skimpy as far as armors go for female

Nice, I'm playing a Ranger/Sneak type so those types of armour are always welcome. I'm currently using the one from Omegared99's compilation, and it looks great.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=7818, though the enchanted versions are IMO too powerful, but that is why there's a non.enchanted version. Also, i love http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988732882/screenshot/595844364273728292, but i forgot where i got it
