My Horse Doesn't Like Me

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 5:28 pm

Any reason why any time I fast travel my horse just spawns near me which is cool(not very realistic) and then just proceeds to immediately trot away from me? He isn't aggroing onto anything he just seems to not like me and takes off....albeit I did find him near the corpses of some guys who died to a dragon I was fighting nearby out in the wilderness so IDK maybe he is constantly heading back to his where his master died to starve to death....also every once and a never I demount and the horse will just fly 100's of yds away......and then proceed to trot away. This is not a game breaking issue my CTD randomly on a Ultra/High specced rig that runs perfect is but it is a weird bug nonetheless

Only a horse you officially own, ie bought or were given as a reward, will stick around.

Stolen or "claimed" horses will do a runner :)

The only horse that will obey you is one you buy or get from a quest. All other horses are technically "stolen" horses, even if their owners are dead, and will slowly trot back to where you originally found them.

The horses of Skyrim are very loyal creatures; they'll even solo dragons for you.

The horses are a pain in the butt. First of all they are totally pointless.... and when you are an archer relying on stealth ... they are an even bigger pain in the butt ... because as soon as I attack a target .. my horse agroes on the mobs too and sometimes gets my targets out of range or at places I dont want my targets to be (like behind a big rock I cant shoot through)

I was happy finally when my horse died (i let a giant kill him) .. but then suddenly doing the dark brother hood quests,... they thought it was funny to give me a horse (i did not smile).

Soon after I installed win 7 though,.. I could not starts the game anymore ... so I cant further update on this. I think the DB horse is some demonic undead horse as it rose up from the swamps? I sure hope not .. else he'll be killing my gameplay ....

oh yeah .. gameplay ... BETHESDA WHEN ARE YOU GONNA FIX MY LAUNCHER PROBLEM ? :banghead:

Ya I figured it had something to do with my lack of ownership...anyone seen the demount horse flys far from your position deal? normally happens demounting on an incline. Got fed up with him so I slayed him and sold his hide for 6 gold.
