Biggest Mystery in TES

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 1:14 pm

How is it a Tomb, Catacomb, Cave, Ruin, etc, thats been sealed for eons (very long time), can have the current currency of the Realm tucked away in it? Or books that were written recently?

How do you know they didn't use Septims back then? Obviously, after Tiber Septim however.

Other tomb-robbers and erstwhile adventurers dropped them? Were slain by the Draugrs and then the Draugrs took them?

Ps. I am a huge BF fan too! :)

Because video game logic fails?

The game it self is a masterpiece but video game logic just fails sometimes.

Well first off let's take a look at something. Last night when I was exploring a catacomb, there were actually bandits hiding out in it. So 1) it wasn't hidden very well, 2) the bandits dropped their coins everywhere, cuz bandits are messy like that and 3) it's a videogame.

Explain how these same dungeons can magically respawn items in their containers, and I will explain why you find Septims in them.

Considering that some of the ruins were only just recently excavated by the people you find in them, it's often safe to say they shouldn't be full of current books and coins. You can see they tried to remedy this with the ancient Nord weapons.

The worst case I found was a treasure hunter who never got into the depths of the place before her crew ran off scared of the draugrs. She had me explore the part that hadn't been opened by her crew (again, even the part she reached required tunneling through rock). What I found in the unexplored part were signs of recent excavation work and lit lanterns. It was silliness likely introduced by a miscommunication between teams doing different parts of the design.

You think Falmer use the same currency as the upper world?

Meh, I'm more interested in why all the vegetables are still fresh.

And seriously, I want in on that cabbage business. They seem to make some serious sales in Skyrim.

Yes I find this more disturbing than the currency (which is also dumb).

I blame it on the Dwarves.

Mostly because they can't defend themelves.

Probably because they're dead.

Or something.

Wait, aren't they the biggest mystery?

Last line of text.
