Does resist magic and resist fire/frost/shock do NOTHING now?

Just saved then went on a killing spree in dragonsreach (as you do), and the jarls bodyguard uses a shock spell, which didn't used to do that much damage, now kills me with 3 spells?! My armor rating is 600+, I'm breton so 25% magic resist and I have the temple of mara 15% magic resist. I also tried using my resist magic (~30%) and resist shock potions (~90%), and she still kills me in 3 hits with the shock spell?

Anyone care to explain what they did in the patch?

I'm on master btw and level 50+, so she will be the maximum level.

It's an unexpected bug coming from the latest patch, will hopefully be fixed soon..

It was challenging before just attacking the 15-20 people in dragonsreach, this is mental ha.

There is a bug in the most recant patch. All resistances to elements, poison and disease are nullified.

You mean to tell me you were smart enough to realize this bug, but weren't smart enough to read half the forums threads in General Discussion AND Software Issues forum?

i dont have the bug but i downloaded the patch. i shot a flame atronach with a fireball spell and she resisted it and didnt take damage from it.
