Alchemy: Different Ingredients + Same Effect = Different Mag

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 9:41 pm

So I've noticed that different ingredients yield different magnitude effects, but I can't figure out why. For example, my Imp Stool poisons do 120 damage when mixed with any other damage health ingredients, but mixing any of those ingredients together yields much less poison damage. (Forgot to check, I think the different was like 70 vs 40 at one point...) The same thing occurs with River Betty poisons.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Does this happen with other effects? (I haven't found any yet.)

Anyone know if this is a bug?

some potions might have 2-3 different values for different ingredients while some other like weakness to magic have a static value for any mix of indredients. It more likealy to have more different values for magic/stamina/health potions and poision.

Another thing, what is the difference between "concentrated" poison damage and regular poison damage. (ie. the Ravage Health effect and the Damage Health effect.) Normally they are exactly the same magnitude with the exception of one being called 'concentrated'.

Ravage health not only damages health but dosnt let it heal over time or with restoration/pots. Just like lingering damage does a constant dmg over time.
