Crashing to desktop with no warnings

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 5:36 pm

Ive been crashing consistently so far ever since i got the game with absolutely no warnings... no slow down before the crash and no warning pop up after the crash. These crashes so far have been random, coming at any moment - at any length of time, while doing anything. I also get random slowdowns and black weird textures on people.

Anyway while the crashes have been completely random up until a point, ive finally ran across one where i can routinely replicate and crash my game with no errors.
Im able to replicate it because of a save i have, every time i try to log start up the game i crash 2 seconds after. Can anyone help me find a way to pinpoint the source of the crash?

Ive been able to get the same results for over 7 attempts to start up the file

Do not try hijacking the OP's thread. That is very unmannerly behavior. If you act badly, no one is going to be at all interested in what you claim to be your problem.

You may start your own thread, or continue one you as already begun, as appropriate, and without comparative component setups, finding commonalities, and there will be some, has nowhere to start. There have been literally hundreds of thousands of copies of the PC version sold, and while you may find it difficult to believe, the vast majority simply do not have a serious problem bothering them.

It's simply the fact that there have been so many copies sold that has created a large base of gamers, who may be only a percentage, but are nevertheless quite numerous. Eliminating any potential source of problems from hardware is a start, and given the very meaningless and foolishly stated official system requirements, locate any cases where the idiocies written into the requirements amount to lies told to buyers whose systems actually could not have handled the game correctly.

I do to OP. Just random to. Sometimes I can play for a hour, sometimes only 15min before a crash. Haven't been able to figure it out. Wont stop me from playing though, muhahaha!

To the OP, how long have you played the game? How many hours invested? How much content completed? Might be the save file size CTD...

@ OP There is a 43 page sticky post there as well imo and it is a very common issue @ Gorath how was your reply in any way a response to the OP. I read it and all I could see is that you were trying to apply a lack of system requirements to the CTD issue. Go read the sticky and check the configs that are having issues including mine. The game is BROKEN....has nothing to do with system requirements when the game is crashing to desktop all over the place on all types of systems from low end to ultra auto detects. Mod users and vanilla users, fast travel and just running around, inside and outside, ATI and Nvidia.

@ Bethesda add an error log so when your game crashes we can see what caused the crash and idk save yourself some work....

My manners left last week with my ability to play the game I paid for months before its release...
