Chatty companionsfollowers?

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 1:16 pm

I dont mean the "Danger ahead!" or "Ive never seen that before!" lines, or combat dialog, but just sometimes saying things or making comments(like FO:NV characters). It makes them a bit more interesting to have around, even if there are still only so many things they talk about.

So far the only companion NPCs Ive found who will say things like that are Mjol and Cicero, with Cicero being the "chattiest", has anyone found any others?

I kinda wish they had FO NV followers, i dont see the good part from having so many available companions. But in the end i still find them useful.

Except when i walk into a chamber full of pressureplates and carefully follow a path but forget to make my follower wait. Which ends with a game freezing and therapy.

as a conjure mage, i really dont need a follower. i mean its great that the ycarry stuff for u but i can hack my carry limit wit hthe console if need be. im not going to take on a follower just for pack mules. i prefer my dremora. they wont turn on me if i chain lightning them in the face over and over

if ur looking for a fun/interesting follower, cicero really is the best in the game.

Erik comments on caves, Dwemer ruins, Nord ruins...it's not annoying in the least, I actually really like it. It's sort of like he's explaining little things about Nord culture to me (playing a non-Orc at the moment).

Lol get Luciene Lachance, he wont stop talking no matter what. The moment he died was the best moment of my life. :D

Joke aside, Mjol is the only talkative follower I have used so far. I haven't used mage companions, only Lydia, Aela, Mjol and the tough lady from the Bannered mare.

Summon a thrall and people will comment you a lot.

This is very true. The only time I disliked it was when he was talking over the quest person I was trying to talk to at the same time. Over all I like his chatting, just wish it was turned down during quest cut scenes and when i chose "Talk to X"

I use Calder, and the only time he seems to comment is on how there's probably animals in that cave... but he'll only comment AFTER leaving said cave.
