Immersion DLC for RPers.

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 9:40 pm

Things like fatigue from not sleeping and a hunger and food requirement.

the ability to sit on the ground and daydream.

Liquor that gives you a staggered like screen and makes you move crapily.

(and on a side note the dodge roll to be unlockable via perks!! and better parry and dodge for dual single handed persons)

DLC? This should have been in the game from the start. And no, I wouldn't pay to download something like this that mods will most probbaly implement much better anywayl

I wouldn't get it. "hardcoe" modes do not make me feel more immersed. They actually make me feel less so, because now, instead of enjoying the game and it's world, I have to worry about some stupid stats that FORCE me to play a certain way. If I want to pretend I need to sleep, eat and drink, I will do just that and PRETEND.

I would download a "no-bugs and nice framerate DLC"
Or a "shadow and texture fix DLC"

Thank you. What happened to real RP'ers, who just...roleplayed?? Why does the game have to hold your hand and FORCE you to do these things if you're an RPer?

Why play games at all then, when you could just go watch a movie or, better yet, sit there and daydream it all? It's more fun when there's something there to interact with and be challenged by. Do you think the game would be more fun if weapons did no damage to you and you had to rely on the honor system?

Just sayin i would pay 15 dollars for a Marriage pack, YES, I know thats awful and i'm pretty much a total loser...but come on, the HANDFUL of people you can marry is soooooo "Bleh"
Everyone should have been Available except for unnamed Npcs and people who where already married. And yes i'm one of those people that where upset that their where no female Kahjiit on the marriage options list, or wood elves for that matter, there should have been at least 3 options for every race.

Well, a movie isn't interactive like a game is. And the latter one? I do that, too, in addition to playing games. And then I draw pictures of it.

It's more fun when there's something there to interact with and be challenged by. Do you think the game would be more fun if weapons did no damage to you and you had to rely on the honor system?

Things like being forced to eat, sleep and drink are rarely challenging. It's usually more of an inane upkeep that isn't particularly fun.

+1

Realism and this kind of stuff add to immersion. The more the game interacts and acknowledges the better. Realism because I feel disconnected when the world feals unrealistic. I think to myself "wtf is this? why does this happen?" and lose immersion.

Can I stand over here with Swish Lizard and agree? +1

Yes I would, I can see tho why others wouldnt.

I like doing character's chores and just casual regular things. It doesn't feel like chores to me, when I eat in the morning at the tavern and hearing bard songs next to my friend, drawing at the same time (In real life!) a path on the map to go through for my next destination. It makes me feel peaceful, immersed, and simply wonderful.

And yes I have a life, no I dont have too much time, yes I spend the little time I have on doing chores in Skyrim. So what? I love it. Im 50 hours in and my character barely done 10 quests. (No compass or markers, im navigating with sun, stars, and the landscape)

How about an update for the game, for an option to disable fast travel. So weak willed people like myself won't be tempted to ruin their game experience by fast traveling across the map. Dx
