The download also includes my notes about how I modified the static container meshes to make them mobile
and notes about various game bugs and quirks. These might be interesting to other people or maybe it's already
common knowledge. I haven't had much time to keep up with the Skyrim modding scene.
Here is all of the relevent information from the README so you know what you're getting into.

Craft pouches, chests, and barrels and put them where you want them. Transfer groups of items (i.e ingredients) with SKSE 1.05.06 or higher.
Visit your local forge and if you have the right supplies (leather, iron ingots, wood, etc.) you can craft various containers. Drop the container any place you like (including other people's houses) and you will have a safe storage location for your use. If you want to move it later, just Drag it to a new location or pick it up.
With SKSE, groups of items (ingredients, ores and other crafting supplies, unequipped weapons and armor, etc.) can be taken from or put into the container. Pressing the right key combination can transfer all items of a similar type to the one selected or even move only ones that aren't heavier or lighter and more or less expensive. That makes it easy to drop the expensive ingredients into one container and the cheap ones into another.
WARNING: In this version quest items are moved automatically too.
I believe items you store in these containers are safe, but more testing is needed to be sure. So make sure you have backups.
Please report any problems and make suggestions for improvements on either the Bethesda forums or on SkyrimNexus.
LIMITATIONS AND QUIRKS
For TESTING the Large Crate can be made for free at a Tanning Rack. And it has all of the ingredients you need to make everything else!
Don't drop more than one container item from your inventory at a time! If you drop a stack of them, only one container will appear in the world and the others will be lost. (This is related to the bug where folllowers who pick of a stack of items really only pick up one and lose the rest.)
Quest items are moved the scripts. You'll need to remember where you left them if they get placed into one of the containers.
Moving groups of items takes. If you somehow force a change while the scripts are looking through inventory you could get some unpredictable results. If the sound is playing, don't move more items around or pick up the container!
The containers appear in the weapon section of your inventory.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
Add similar quick-mode support for follower inventories and other standard game containers.
Remove the testing crate recipie and it's contents.
Adding more containers would be a possibility but it's not planned.
BASIC CONTAINER USE
Craft a container at a forge and you'll find the new item in your inventory at the buttom of the weapons section.
You can drop it and drag it around normally or activate it to:
Take - put it back in your inventory
Drag - close the menu so you can drag it around again
Resize - make it larger or smaller
Rotate - turn it around (click X/Y/Z to change how it turns)
Shift - move it more precisely than you could be dragging
Use Here - turn it into a usable container
View - leave the menu so you can move around to look at it
The container is always owned by you (even if you put it in someone else's house) and should be safe (unless there's a thief in the house).
You can also Drag the container to get another menu of choices:
Open - use it
Take - pick it up and everything inside too
Move - take everything inside and make it movable again
Quick-Mode or Switch Mode - use the advanced features
Nothing - just leave the menu
USE QUICK-MODE WITHOUT SKSE
Quick-Mode only works if you have the Skyrim Script Extender installed. Without it, choosing Quick-Mode simply means that the container will
ignore Drag unless you are also sneaking. That still might be useful if you have some other mod that wants to capture the Drag operation.
QUICK-MODE WITH SKSE
With the Skyrim Script Extender installed you have many more options for better storage access. Choosing Quick-Mode will replace the main menu you get with a Drag (unless you are sneaking) with a new one that lets you quickly put groups of items into the container.
Drag Menu
With a Drag you get these choices of what to put in the container:
Alch - alchemy ingredients & food
Ench - soul gems, jewelry & clothes
Smith - ingots, ores, hides, etc. (including firewood)
Gear - weapons & armor (but not anything you're wearing)
Misc - books and clutter (but not gold, lockpicks, or torches)
If you don't like those categories, you might like the quick-keys.
Quick-keys
If you're pressing one of these special keys when you move an item into or out of the container other items like it will also be moved.
The grouping keys are G and M. G is assumed if you use a filter key.
G - all of the same group (all potions, all food, etc.)
M - items of the same an similar groups (like the list above)
The filtering keys (L, H, V, I) move only things that are:
L - at least as light
H - at least as heavy
V - at least as valuable
I - at least as inexpensive/cheap
Skip List
Finally, you may want to keep certain items in your inventory even when you aren't wearing them (so you can switch weapons, change outfits, etc.). There's a simple way to prevent items from being taking out of your inventory automatically. Here are the steps:
1) Sneak and Drag the container.
2) Choose the Open option from the menu.
(Just opening the container while sneaking isn't enough.)
3) Take back any item that you don't want to be moved later.
(If needed you can first put the item into the container.)
If you change your mind again, just Sneak, Drag, choose Open and manually put the item into the container. It will be removed from the skip list so it can be transferred automatically again.
Note: There's only one list of items to be skipped for all containers.
