Extremely high sensitivity in menus

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 7:36 am

Ever since I got my new mouse my sensivity in menus has been very high. It's a Mionix Naos 5000, that I'm running at 5040 DPI.
Obviously I've tried to lower the sensitivity, both in-game and in Windows, bit neither of it helped. I use a lot of mods, but I doubt that is the reason since this problem started as soon as I got the new mouse.
All my drivers are up to date, and my game is at the 1.3.10 patch.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks:)

That is a high DPi. My mouse allows on the fly lowering of the dpi, can you do that on yours?

Also, do you have vsync (iPresentInterval) disabled at all?

Have you also tried disabling mouse acceleration?

Besides the DPI setting , have you checked and changed the Polling Rate? Check your mouse software. my G-3 has settings for Both.

Lol..I agree thats High...I thought my 2000 DPI was fast...dang..

Make sure the X360 controller option isn't ticked in Skyrim's options. If that wasn't it, try deleting the ini files (after backing them up) and launching the game to rebuild them - sometimes changes that worked with one patch version don't work with a newer game version.

You can try reducing the following settings in the SkyrimPrefs.ini file after getting a comfortable speed set for your desktop.

fMouseCursorSpeed=1.0000
fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.0100
bMouseAcceleration=0

iPresentInterval is disabled. Should I try enabling it?

My Polling rate is at 1 Ghz. I should probably mention that I've tried to lower my DPI without any results. My sensitivity is still crazy high compared to the one outside of menus.

I think its unticked, but I'll check again

Mouseacceleration is already off, but I'll definately try the rest.
