The Thieve's Guild questline is by far the best in the game, but the ending pissed me off for a number of reasons.

By the way, spoilers 'n' [censored].

1.) Nobody recognizes you as the leader or a Nightingale.

2.) After all of the [censored] you've been through together, all Brynjolf has to say to you is "I'm busy, talk later, kthx "

3.) Karliah claims to have gone back to Nightingale Hall, though I never found her there. Do you guys want to know where I found Karliah hanging around? Where she shot me. Yup. Inside the Nordic tomb where she shot me. Which is a bummer, because I love Karliah. DAT VOICE. DEM EYES. DOSE HIPS.

4.) Apparently, there's a portal in Nightingale Hall that leads to the Twilight Sepulcher (or so Karliah claims...), but I never found it.

So yeah. Bethesda, Y U DO DIS.

1. Secrecy is best when you are a Nightingale. You are a sentinel and protector of Nocturnal. You wouldn't be doing your job if you couldn't keep that secret. The best thieves are those who aren't known by the general public. As for the Thieves Guild, they know who you are already and are already impressed. You don't need any more than that.
3. Maybe she's paying her respects?
4. After you get the skeleton key, Karliah says the path in Nightingale Hall is unpassable. Before then, you aren't worthy of it's secret location and the way to open it.

1. No one is supposed to know you are Nightingale and they do recognize you as leader if you do the crapload of quests to get thieve's back to normal

2. He'll talk to you after you do the crapload of quests I was just talking about...

3. No clue about her... I saw her in Twilight Sepulcher once... but other than that she's living the life of a true Nightingale...

4. Yet again no clue... I was able to get back to it once... I don't remember how though...
