I had picked up 3 of these stones when I got the quest for them. So it turns out there 24 of them, and each one weights half a pound. I cant drop them or store them because they are quest items.. So Am I supossed to carry them around weighting me down more and more each time I find one? What If I find 15 or 16 of them and never find them all? Am I forced to carry this weight around forever? I am constantly struggling with over encumbrance as it is. Suggestions welcome. I apologize if this has been posted about before. Thanks.

Quest items don't actually contribute to weight.

Thats what I thought too, but they ARE marked as weighting .5 lbs... Is this a mistake by the game or what? I guess Ill have to try dropping everything but the stones to see if they actually weight something.. Thanks.

It think the weight is shown as it has a value to work in the game physics (ie no weight = floating object). But quest items dont actually contribute to your encumberance.
