12.12.12

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 9:00 am

I'm an old RPG player, i have played almost every RPG game that have been released in the past 10-12 years.
Planescape torment, baldur's gate 1&2, neverwinter nights 1&2, elderscroll games, diablo 1&2, world of warcraft, dungeon siege 1&2, gothic series, witcher 1&2, dragon age 1&2, titan quest, all their expansions and many many more.
But i have never been so frustrated with a game as i am with skyrim. I understand that like all other elderscroll games, skyrim takes place in a huge world and bugs are to be expected but how could bethesda miss so many issues? I hate to say this but who did the testing? Bobo the blind chimp?? and why are developers so quiet? why don't we see any official response/help from you in these forums? i've been checking the skyrim forums almost every day since day 1 and i have only seen a handfull official posts. anyway that's it for me, i've been waiting so long for this game but i would rather wait another year and get the game on 12.12.12 than like this.

Hi, I don't ever begin my game because of that mess !!!
While they don't fix the low sound issue and the bad voice volume I'll don't start the game.

No seriously, this thread is pretty pointless unless you start specifying what you are actually having problems with. It might sound like "I've never gotten AIDS so it can't be that bad", but for myself and everybody I know personally, noone has run into any real problem with this game, even after dozens of hours. I have also spent hundreds of hours with all the famous RPGs since the 80s, and Skyrim is definitly one of those, I had the least technical problems with.

Yes there are many issues with this game. But at least Bethesda is trying to fix them ASAP. Maybe they should have postponed the release until 13.13.13. ?

Ok. That is certainly your choice as you can simply wait until then to purchase the game an hopefully it will live up to your expectation. Until then I'll continue to play (mostly trouble free) and enjoy one of the best rides I've ever had in video gaming since pong.

EDIT: This thread doesn't even belong in the tech support section since it doesn't even mention 1 specific issue...not even 1 general issue for that matter.

@ OP...Let me see if I have this right...you register here for 1 post to call testers chimps for a game you don't yet own, but have only read about on forums? Or did you buy it, but aren't going to patch it for a year?

Gotta love rants that don't specify equipment or even a single specific bug...

12 12 12 holds no magical or occult meaning......however 11 11 11 does.....the alchemist has spoken.

Not true - 12 12 12 is the date when Apple's "bonjour" program will breed with Norton to create a pc Anti-Christ. Good luck getting Skyrim to work on that day. I'm stockpiling bottled water.

That is your perogative. But I don't think that announcing your purchase date for the game is a "PC Hardware or Software Issue"
