Level ups

So for the 3 types of classes you can play, what's the order you put to these atributes?

I'm level 24 on my pure mage and sort of stopped at 200 health and been putting into magicka. No stam at all. Should I be investing in more health than magicka? Or can i get by with fortify health enchantments?

I have a Mage with 500 magicka and 150 health 100 stam. It's all good if I can see things before they get to be because I can wreck there life in an instant, the problem is when a damn sneaky (and fast) saber cat hits me it will eat me in two hits.

On my assassin I go 7/3 stam to health with dual wield daggers.

As for Mage, that is plenty of health IMO. You shouldn't be getting hit that often, and restoration is a life saver anyways.

Yeah same here. I have fortify destruction gear on which makes magicka a non issue for the most part in fights. Just those other pesky shock mages that get me while my guards down

We try not to get hit, because it you want to role play a Mage you go totally unarmored with your only saving grace is your spells, and anything at all like say an arrow to the back is a one hitter quitter to you, and that is frustrating. As far as I know there is no good way to armor yourself as a Mage unless you can enchant well. While restoration spells help in direct combat, they don't do anything when you get sneak attacked and have no time to cast them.

To begin with I invest heavily in magic with my mage but once you get past the low level you can reduce the cost of two schools of magic to 0, so magicka isn't really needed at all.

With warriors I usually go with health and stamina in a ratio of about 5:1

With thieves I usually go with a health and stamina ration of about 1:3

I dont remember the exact numbers but im invested in sneak, and archery first and then destruction and one handed and my guy is pretty well rounded i can take out almost anything with a bow and my destruction spells destroy dragons 5-8 shots of ice spike or firebolt.

Edit: i only use health and stamina i stopped investing in magic after finding apparel that adds lots of points to my magic anyway.

My characters tend to be pretty well-rounded, but I've found that 2:4:3 works well for my primarily melee focused character. The challenge is that, particularly if you're into min/maxing, your stat balance requirements change as you level up. Stamina is for running, melee, and carrying capacity. If those aren't a concern for you, skip stamina. Health is useful for a mage (all characters), particularly when you're starting out. I don't think you'll ever regret that early investment.

I am also using the well rounded method i wear heavy armor and switch between ab bound sword and shield, a two handed flaming axe, and either sword and spell, or double spell. Also I am good at stealth and archery.

at level 20 i have mostly 200 health and magica somewhere close to that, and my stamina suffers at round 120. However stamina potions are the easiest to craft and i constantly find ingrediants for them.

Level 19 - Basically a pure mage (2 perk points in one-handed damage - rest in various magic trees).

220 Base Magicka - 160 Base Health - 100 Base Stamina

Basically a 2:1 ratio so far, but I'll be focusing exclusively on my Magicka pool going forward.

I'm raising health to stamina at a 2 to 1 ratio. My philosophy is that stamina recovers in combat pretty quickly, healthy barely at all, so I want to make sure I'm going to be able to survive big hits.

i go with 190 of health and 190 of stamina and the rest on magicka, you don't need tons of magicka, once you use enough enchanted items, head gear, wrist bracers, robe of destruction, ring, necklace etc. your magicka cost ends up being almost zero so don't ignore stamina either, some magic spells against you svck your stamina then you can barely move, so for me 190 of each is almost double starting stats and the rest i dump in magicka.

Every level-up, I ask myself a simple question: what do I run out of the most?

So my warrior is getting lots of Stamina and some Health, my thief characters get mostly Stamina, and my mage has 100% Magicka.

Sure, my mage gets killed sometimes, but he runs out of blue way more often. Therefore, I will always get more mileage out of more blue.
