Currently I am trying to get my companions to start learning new spells.
In the case of Marcurio I'm trying to get him to use Frost Atronach.

I checked his skill values and currently he has 41 in conjuration and 383 magicka which means he has more than enough for Frost Atronach etc. I gave him the book to learn it so its in his inventory but idk how to get him to learn the spell

If someone can help that would be great.
I'm on PC so if console is required I will do that too.

Try placing the book on the ground and then using the command option in the conversation window to tell him to "use" the book.

I dont do the whole "follower" thing, so its just a best guess on my part. Its the first thing I thought of tbh.

What do you mean use? I know about the "I need you to do something" option but I never heard of "use" because the "I need you to do something option" just makes him pick it up.

Thats what I meant. Not to spoiler anything for you but you can use that command to make them do stuff for you, like pick locks and stuff. As I said I dont do followers so it was a guess on my part. Sorry it didnt work.

Yeah funny [censored] is "I need you to do something" and click a bed they lay down for a nap if its free or you own it lol....

Anyone know the answer to this? Im sure I heard of people getting their followers to learn new spells.
