Cicero - What to do with him?

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 4:41 pm

Ok, so (Spoiler here obviously) I have a choice.

I kill Cicero, or I leave him alone.

I have the guide for the game but it's complicated. Just wondered if anyone could tell me the advantages/disadvantages of letting him live or killing him. Thanks.

If you kill him you get his clothes, if you let him live he becomes a follower.

I killed him, because I don't really use followers, so I figured making money off the armor of his that I don't use would be a good thing to do.

Wait, so there is *no* fallout whatsoever to letting him live/killing him besides you can sell his stuff? There's no change to the storyline or anything? No additional quests if you let him live?

You can recruit him as a follower if you let him live.

You can get him as a follower if you let him live. Natuarlly, you'll only do that so you can sacrifice him in the Boethiah quest.

Lol, besides the targets of the dark brotherhood quests, I prefer to leave as many people alive as possible. I think ill let him live if there arent any consequences besides hearing his annoying voice.

Well, I would assume that you don't have to have him as a follower, but I felt that he wouldn't be too significant to refrain from killing.

If you summon Lucien Lachance(Spectral Assassin) he tells you killing him is not right and Sithis doesn't want him to die.

If you think about it, he was loyal to the DB, the other assassins were poisoned by Astrid.

They pretty much dissed the Night Mother and the five teneths, she was a horrible leader,

That bolded part right there? Yeah, I wouldn't want to piss off the Dread Father.

That said, when I saw Cicero curled up in a pitiful ball, I really, really wanted to give him a hug.

---HUGE SPOILER IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE DARK BROTHERHOOD QUEST-LINE!--------

You should let him become your follower, than kill him in some remote location.
I killed him when he betrayed the Dark Brotherhood, and now his lifeless corpse just lays there in the Torture room after you finish the story line.

IMO he is the single best character in the game, he is well crafted, and the voice acting is amazing. There is not a single other NPC in the game that I have felt like they really played their part perfectly as I do for my dear dark brother Cicero

The DB was a shell of its former self. Beyond that, Cicero attacked Astrid because of her severe slander against the Night Mother. The DB under her was really a poor excuse of a guild rather then what it used to be, with Cicero really being the only lone follower left. Besides that, Cicero is loyal to you, the Listener which is the important part.

'Sides, if Cicero had succeeded in his attempt to kill Astrid, maybe the rest of the assassin peeps would still be alive.

You can still get his clothes even if you don't kill him. They are on a chest/drawer/shelf in the sanctuary when you go after him. I'm not sure if they are identical to his clothes, but I have a full set of Jester's clothes.

They're not quite as good as Cicero's set, just like the Ancient Shrouded is better than the, uh, Modern Shrouded ;)

I personally like him. Although, he would get rather annoying following you around all the time. A little bit of Cicero goes a long way. Still, he's not as bad as the Adoring Fan.
