One fatal flaw with giants.

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 9:55 am

This will be quite a short post, but I was just wondering if anybody else has noticed this - Now, I'm not complaining about this. I personally think it's quite fun to do - When fighting a giant, instead of tediously hacking and slashing at him with your sword, or repeatedely blasting him with flames, why not just line him up facing downhill, and use the most basic shout - Fus Roh Dah! Honestly, the giant will just go rolling down the hill, and even when he falls just a little amount, he is instantly dead. Congratulations, you have just killed a giant in 10 seconds.

Discuss.

Haven't noticed, I normally just find a vantage point and rain arrows down on the mother until he's a giant corpse. Used to battle them on open plains and would regularly get my ass handed to me, but once you learn to fight them on your terms they're easy.

That said, I'd quite like a video of this. :P

I'd love to make a video, apart from I have no recording equipment for my xbox, haha.

I've taken out three giants at once doing that. It's pretty powerful.

Yeah, had that happen to me at this troll camp in the mountains near Whiterun. Blasted the svcker off the side and onto a rock next to a troll. Both died somehow. Really weird lol.

Don't see why people have problems with the things to be honest. Quick press of the right bumper and there you go.

I can't bring myself to kill them anymore. I'm trying to play a good guy my first time through, and they're really not so bad. They have their little camps with their mammoths and their cheese, and they don't bother anyone for the most part. Well, there's that one Orc stronghold, but that one giant was kind of a dike. Other than that, they just want to be left alone, and I'm happy to oblige them.

The Bigger they come, the harder they fall... So true. Wrestling in second grade was not bad at all to be taken down with a single/double leg, add a foot or two of height, increased weight, and bam, hurts a lot more. Nothing I can't handle, but then add a rocky hill and several more feet and you've got yourself some serious pain.

I don't kill giants ever since I read a comic.

The guy had killed a bunch of giants and mammoths, and when he went to loot the giant, he found a picture of the giant and mammoth hugging and smiling.

I love Fus-Ro-Dah'ing everything I can off high places. Make lots of little street pizzas out of bandits and such.

I once Fus-Ro-Dah'd that Thalmor guy off the bridge at the college of Winterhold... That was bloody satisfying.

I thought the one fatal flaw with giants is there are no female giants.

LOL. I didn't know that.

I've found with my sneak character that if you back stab them with a dagger (using sneak dagger perk), it usually one shots them (Expert difficulty).

Guards in Markath are my faves. All those stairs and ledges...and a dozen or so guards. Aggro one, kite them, then send them flying!

You do not even need a hill. Just aim Unrelenting for their feet at point blank range. If you time it right you run "right through them" and the fly straight up. * Crunch*
