Equipping nothing but my Restore in my right hand and my Hide Shield in the left, I allow the wolves to keep attacking. I keep the block button pinned and before you know it, I'm leveling...occasionally drinking up a potion of Magicka as I start out in power-leveling. I place my first perk in Restore, to use less magic, my second perk (after my second level) goes into enhancing block, my third goes into Light Armor, pickpocket (You'll know why later), One Handed Weapons, rinse, wash, repeat...before you know it, 30 or so minutes have passed since being attacked by wolves and my block is 25, my light armor is also 25, and my restore is climbing but still only around 21 (there's no fast way to rank restore, short of getting into the College of Winterhold, training in it, and pickpocketing your gold back). I stop once my block is around 31 and my restore is around 25. I make sure I've looted at least around 1k worth and head to the Companion HQ.
I get in in good with the Companions, ask each companion member to train me in something and pickpocket my gold back (remembering always to up my pickpocket), I'll explain why the pickpocket later. 35 minutes after being a Companion member, my pickpocket is virtually around level 63+, my block is at 41, my one handed weapons is at 41, my archery is 40, my sneak is 40 etc. and I am level 21. I run out to Eorland at the Companion's Forge and get my Smithing up to 40 and 15 minutes later I am level 24 with pickpocketing at 73 (again, it was here where I started to learn that occasionally, I would not rank pickpocketing after every attempt...sometimes but sometimes not and I would be left with 3/4 of my character level left and all 5 training slots purchased. I then would run over to the Forge, smith some Irons and fill that gap in and startover again.
I take a breather and adventure out to make some coin (at least around 3k) by going out and find more stuff to sell / steal, take all my gold earned from stuff I've picked up and sold and I buy every Iron Ingot I can find, wait 24-48 hours and by more. I buy as many leather strips I can find as well, I take all of these to the Forge and craft 60+ Iron Daggers and watch my Smithing sky rocket and I gain 15+ smithing levels and two more character levels in virtually 10 seconds lol.
Why do I train and pickpocket back? Three reasons:
A.) It's easier and becomes progressively easier than asking the member to join you, trade with you, and then part ways.
B.) I think you lose some gold doing this, it never seems like you get all of it back
C.) (This is the mother reason of all reasons) If you look at how the leveling system works, when you outright buy all five training slots consecutively, per level, you stop gaining Character Leveling experience after the 3rd purchased and the 4th / 5th purchased training doesn't move the experience bar. When you rank up another skill in between each purchase, that bar keeps moving and since you virtually rank up pickpocket after each success, it's seemless...that is, until you hit the Pickpocket ceiling.
Also, once you start to hit level 70 pickpocket, you rank after every other pickpocket success (sometimes consecutively) and you have to go do other things to actually get a full level up between purchasing training and pickpocketing, which is fine because you get close to level 30 at this point and you can start having fun and going out, or if you have material, you can just go smith and level up that way too...or Alchemy...and then rinse, wash, repeat.
Remember to save frequently, even though you have 90% chance picketpocket 500+ gold, you will still fail on that 10% chance from time to time and once you are caught, you have to wait a day. You will also occasionally rank Sneak skill in doing the above. Remember to at least have your Pickpocket 3/5 perks and Coin Purse perk enabled. The rest can go into Sneak, and any other skills you fancy.
