Fast Travel Failure

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 3:30 pm

Ok so I guess this was probably caused by a patch a couple weeks ago, but now I can't fast travel. No, I don't have bounties or anything like that. I try to click it on the map and it just exits the map. My tab button also appears to not work. Pretty messed up and depressing.

You can try several fixes. I would suggest that you backup your interface.bsa file and then delete it from the original folder, then use steam to verify game cache integrity (remember to back up any ini tweaks as well).

You can try removing mods one by one to see if that helps.
You can tell us if you actually have any ini tweaks (vsync disabled, mouse acceleration etc)
You can delete your ini files and let the game recreate the ini's again for you (will get taken care of when you verify the cache as well).

For the ini fix: Go to My Documents/My Games/Skyrim and delete the Skyrim and Skyrim Prefs files. Then start the game.

if that doesn't work:
Go to where you intalled steam/Skyrim (Usually C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Skyrim): Open the Data folder, and delete the Interface (or Skrim-Interface) file, and then go into steam, right click on your game, properties, third tab verify integrity of game cache.

Then try to run the game (Try the first fix first, it's simpler).
