well, i just did "alduin's wall", and i told delphine i could bring new recruits for the blades... now i have an objective of "bring a follower to delphine"...

does that mean any follower i gain in the game, i can bring back to sky haven temple and have them become a blade?

can any follower become a blade, or are only specific people able to become one?

could someone give me a bit of information on this, because i would like to see this temple fill up with people so its not so empty.

Ive done this on my Argonian.
Basically they just want 3 Followers.

The 3 I used where; Lydia, The person at Azura's Shrine, and somebody I hired out of a pub somewhere.
So id assume anybody will do

Once you have them you may get a quest to hunt a Dragon, it will point you to where a Dragon is situated on the map.
once you head there you will fight with your 3 recruits and kill a dragon.

Im about 90% sure this is continuous and can be done as many time as you wish. no great benefit.
Although if you have no discovered these locations already it will lead you to words of power.

wait, so they only take three recruits, and no more?

...then im forced to take them all into battle against a dragon just so they can be killed?

damn it!

well, guess im not going to be doing this misc. quest.

i might get lydia recruited, atleast... simply because im sick of having a housemate, all she does is sit in MY bedroom and eat/drink my food at my table... what a leech.

so, does anyone have anything else to add to this?

is there any way i can go kill the dragon WITHOUT endangering my allies after recruiting three?

is there no way to recruit more than three?

...seriously, the place is huge... you'd think you'd be allowed to bring in all the followers you can find.

So basically it sounds like the quests you can already get from the Greybeards without killing parthurrnax?

I think I'll stick with the greybeards then.. they are far more powerful than the blades and Parthuurnax is my buddy

You can still tell them to follow you. So yes they are still availible.
