Is there a shout to land a dragon?

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 9:14 am

I get kind of annoyed when Dragons keep flying off at 100mph to go burn a wolf or mammoth or something. Is there any shout which can stun a dragon mid-flight, or force it to agro on you or something?

So far, the most useful Shout I've found for such situations is the "slow time" - if I can actually get near the dragon during the few seconds it's landed, I can at least extend the period it's on the ground.

I have destruction's "impact" perk. Some people talk about stagger-locking dragons, but in my experience (perhaps I just have the timing wrong), they always seem to fly off even if I've just hit them with a dual-cast firebolt/ice spike/lightning bolt. They sometimes get stunned, but more often than not, they seem to just shrug it off and go fly away.

Ok, thanks. I'll probably get back to the main quest soon. I ended up with like, I dunno, 30-40 miscellaneous and side-quests, so I took some time off to try to clear my journal a bit. It's kind of getting a bit "noisy" at this point.

you can also use storm call shout, but the dragon will not be alive when it lands.

couple down sides though; it has a long cool down, it can harm companions and npcs, and i think you have put the cross hairs on what you want the lightning to hit.

on the plus side, the two times that i used it rained dragons in seconds.

There is an amulet that reduces the time you need to wait before shouting again. I use it all the time when fighting dragons (or when I use the sprint shout to run faster).
