hey all im playing a stealthy char and dont wanna get thieves guild stuff till later because i know it has leveled gear in it,

i heard that thieves guild quests is nothing but unleveled gear, is this true?

if it does have leveled gear, can u tell me what it is without spoiling the story in how i get it??

From what I can tell, the enchants stay the same and the armor rating might go up a little bit. I've only done it on 2 characters and the same can be said about the Dark Brotherhood. I dunno how the gear / weapon scaling goes but from what I've seen it's not by much. Everything I get seems to be the same at any level.

Did the DB quests up until I was in charge of the sanctuary. But the DB story was not really suit my character, the assassin bit does but not the dark worship bit.


Started in the same DB armor that I finished in.

The DB armor is good assassin armor, seemed to make creeping up behind characters a lot easier. Got to the point that I was not hardly even using the bow. For the most part there is no real combat as an assassin it's replaced by sneaking and a clip of you killing a character by cutting it's throat.


As armor stats are a percentage or something that just is (like waterbreathing, bad example for an assassin) then the enchants you get with it will level with your character's leveling (depending on the enchant).


Edit: Armor rating will also increase based on your skills.

Did you get the quest to find the assassin of old? you get an upgraded version of the shrouded armor. Not much more armor rating but better enchants.

I stopped at the point the Dark Mother started giving out contracts (directly to me), taking orders from a dead person just is not my style.

So I doubt that I did as I don't remember getting a new set of armor. The old one was good enough anyway.

Is it possible to get Black Hand robes again?

There is a DB robe on a bookshelf in the sactuary.

Yeah Its a bit silly getting contracts from the Night Mother but the money is ON POINT.

Pretty sure I have not run into any leveled gear yet and I am more than halfway through the DB storyline. The only thing that might be is Astrid's Blade of Woe but I do not have that yet so I can't confirm. All the Shrouded armor I have found cannot be improved and is all non-leveled.

This included the robes, shoes, handwraps, boots, armor, and cowls (faceless or otherwise)
Also none of Ciceros gear is leveled (personal or Jester)

The only true upgrade as mentioned before is Ancient Shrouded Gear that can only be aquired from a special task completion.

If it's not in there there's a safe chance it is not, infact, a leveled item.

Astrid's blade is awsome. But about that Shrouded DB gear. "Get your Smithing skills up and you can upgrade them to about 70+ get your light armor Skills up and also the One handed and Sneak skill to get that Blade of Woe working the way it should."...
And you know what?..I did upgrade that blade. I have all my smithing up and I brought it up to 57 DMG...
