Uhhhh..Frost Dragon Ice breath is WRECKING me now?

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 11:58 am

So I play on Expert on my level 47 Nord Warrior and I legit 2 or 3 shot all Dragons. And they never even touch my HP.

Well uh, I engaged a Frost Dragon today and it literally killed me in less than 3 seconds. I didn't even have time to press B for a potion. My health drained faster than a twelve year old boys bladder during Titanic after a large coke.

What is the deal?

Your Nord is no longer frost resistant. This was broken in yesterday's patch. It's a known issue.

Your anology makes no sense. Now if Titanic were a horror movie maybe i could understand it but thats besides the point. The new patch 1.2 supposedly messed up resistances, I believe Nords are resistant to frost, so now hes hitting you full force instead of the portion he was before.

How that doesn't make sense to you is astonishing.

Huh, so that's why all these dragons have been draining my health so fast? Nice to finally have an explanation.

I call BS on 2 or 3 shotting all dragons, unless you're using the exploit.

I assumed he meant that the 12 year old boy was on the original Titanic and he wet himself when the ship cracked in half.

But your assumption about movie lenght makes more sense.

Yea without using magic wards you're pretty much screwed unless you turn the difficulty down or spam potions like crazy.

I am noticing all elemental damage hurting alot more. I even have close to 50% in my resists and the shield block elemental perk and while holding block i am still getting smashed by some things.

I think I may just delete this patch for now on Xbox, hopefully my saves don't vanish.

No, It's easy with one/two-handed weapons, Smithing and Enchanting to do this legitimately, Dragon and Blood Dragon can be OHKOed with sneak attacks, more so daggers. Fixing Elemental resistances is pretty high on Bethesda's Agenda it seems... apparently Atronatchs(sp) being susceptible to their own element isn't a good idea :).

..lol? My Daedric Battle Axe one shots ALL mobs except dragons on expert. 206 base damage, enhanced from smithing (legendary). Plus two items (ring and neck) with sure grip enchant (30% & 40%). Damage is tuf.

I just love how you're whining about the game being too easy and as soon as it becomes hard you start whining again....

This is going to continue until the resistance bug is re-patched or you do a manual roll back. I've seen threads for both the 360 and PC detailing the process of rolling back so there is a temporary solution if you wish to use it.

No wonder my level 36 Nord chick struggled with a frost dragon yesterday. I thought it was because I had moved up to "expert". But was surprised at how much damage the frost did.

That's okay, I might as well get used to it as I just started a Breton sneak theif char so frost resistance is out anyway. :P

I got what you meant. Do I get brownie points? I'll settle for pie. :P

Yes but his bladder wouldnt be draining quickly like if he says got the piss scared out of him. it sits there for an hour or whatever then he goes and pisses, taking his time. What im saying is while he will eventually have to piss during Titanic, a more accurate anology to a Frost Dragon blasting through you would be if you jumped out behind the boy and scared the piss out of him. Now if while fighting the Frost Dragon its a long out battle that he eventually wins i guess that would make your comparison apt.
