Master Merchant

Just a quick question about the top perk for speechcraft that says it gives every merchant 1000 pieces of gold. The description would allow for both, setting every merchant's gold to 1000 or adding 1000 gold to the gold they already have.

Which is it? If it's the first one, a lot of merchants would have actually less money than before, especially those I invested in, but it would still help with the smaller shops and especially the travelling ones that only have around 70 gold usually.

I've never tried it because the investment perk solved all my financial needs, especially in a certain shop in a backwater village. ;)

But yes, it should give them an extra 1,000 gold.

It should really give them 10,000 gold. I believe it hands them 1,000 more gold though.

It is only logic to add 1000 instead of setting to 1000. Of course with Bethesda's latest goofup, anything is possible.

Doesn't work with everyone who sells, only main junk shop, blacksmith, and potion shops. But you can invest an additional 500 with some of them to boost further.

Yes, I know, the investment perk is earlier and I already have it. ;) (Doesnt work on every shop, either, but good enough.)

Guess I'll just give it a try when I have the skill, but since I would have to take the perk for being able to sell stolen items and I never really steal anything, I would have to invest two perk points, so I wanted to make sure its worth it. Can always reload to an earlier save then.
